You’ve probably heard the quote: “You are what you think.” It’s been attributed to so many people over the years that no one really knows who first said it. The amazing thing is that it’s not just a motivational saying, it’s truth.
God’s word often holds hands with science.
In fact, science is finally catching up to God’s word. In her excellent book, Switch On Your Brain, Dr. Caroline Leaf explains (and shows) how our brain is positively or negatively affected by thinking. God created us to be ever-changing beings and because of neuroplasticity, we can literally change the structure of our brains.
Negative thinking harms us. The apostle Paul had it right when he directed us towards positivity. We are to fix our thoughts on Jesus, to learn from him and live like him.
This is excellent and praiseworthy indeed!
